Delete your account
Deleting your account removes it and the data tied to it from Veto's server. You can do this in the app in under a minute, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Delete it in the app
iPhone or iPad
- Open Veto and sign in, if you aren't already.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap "Delete my account and all data."
- Confirm by tapping "Delete everything."
Android
- Open Veto and sign in, if you aren't already.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap "Delete my account and all data."
- Confirm by tapping "Delete everything."
What gets deleted, and what doesn't
- Your account, profiles, and Personal Rules — deleted.
- Your scan history on that device — deleted.
- Anonymous scan counts, by barcode and by ingredient — kept, but never linked to you.
- Any Label Capture you sent — kept, because it carries only an anonymous device identifier, never your account. One already published to Open Food Facts stays there, under Veto's own contributor account, under Open Food Facts' own licence. To have a capture removed from Veto's own records, email us the barcode and roughly when you sent it (see below).
Subscriptions aren't included
Deleting your account does not stop billing. Cancel a Veto Plus subscription separately in your App Store account settings (iPhone or iPad) or your Google Play account settings (Android).
No app access? Email us instead
Write to support@foodveto.com from the email address on your account and ask for it to be deleted. We handle a request like this within 30 days. The same two rows above — what's deleted, what stays — apply either way. To have a Label Capture removed from Veto's own records, include the barcode and roughly when you sent it; we can't withdraw one already published to Open Food Facts.
